Positive Points of the Reviewed Resource:

This material is an excellent training manual for a teacher. The student activities reinforce the subject matter in a fun and informative manner and provide an incentive towards continuing food safe practices. It also provides an excellent understanding of the importance of food safety.

Negative Points of the Reviewed Resource:

The training curriculum does require a good deal of preparation both by the extension educators and the family and consumer science teachers. A true commitment will be required for good results.

Summary:

This food safety education manual provides concrete examples in an easy-to-follow format, and does an excellent job of addressing major food safety issues in a manner that can reach pre-school through high school students.
